Réaménagement

In this work I am looking for signs of the impact of both tradition and modernity. I focus on an urban space that is being redesigned by the public authorities in Marseille. Modern architecture, restructuring and new use of existing elements give the place novel aesthetic characteristics.

However, the location is confusing, as its new architectural elements contrast with the urban landscape, which is marked by traces of time and decay. The new aesthetics are reminiscent of digitally purified worlds or architectural models. The clean and aesthetic composition of the photographs reinforces this impression, immediately raising the question of their authenticity.
