Since I was a child I have been interested in images. My memories are often of days in France, the country my family and I emigrated from, but where all my childhood holidays were spent. My father took pictures with an analogue Kodak camera and sometimes filmed with Super 8. I remember very well how I used to observe him, and later how I helped to cut the films or to select the pictures. It was like a dream, a world I saw again and again, another reality we brought back with us when we re-crossed the border. Later, I wanted to create scenes of my own to conjure up a dreamlike reality, or just to let me see and tell stories in different ways.
Now, many years later, I still love images and continue to work with them, searching for my own individual approach to the possible realities they suggest.
